TEAM  SPEEDBIKE RACING 2003 ENDURANCE BIKE
Honda CBR600 F4i

Endurance 2003: The annual 3-hour endurance race.
With the same enthusiasm as previous years and essentially the same team, we had a whole different set up for our team.

We counted with the addition of rider Carlos Toledo, a fast Brazilian rider, working through the Amateur classes in 2003 and promising to be very strong in the Expert classes for 2004 season.

We raced the GTU class with a CBR600F4i, a nicely prepared racebike by Carlos Toledo.

The riders were,  in order of riding position: Carlos Toledo, Edgard Velloso, Edgar Muller, David Kaskoun and Carlos again to receive the checkered flag.

Matt Guilbault was schedule to race the MBNA 250 Grand Prix at Virginia International Raceway, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing on the very same weekend. So, his presence was not confirmed.

.
Chris Cramer not racing in 2003 unfortunately could not make for the endurance. So we did our best with Carlos getting the computer working. It did work... most of the time...

Team Speedbike was backed up by outstanding crew, with Milda Muller taking care of registering the event with awesome pictures as they can be seen in these pages. They were over 300 pictures taken and the work to sort them out was something overwhelming.

Jeannine Kaskoun made sure riders were riding in their correct timing, with precise coordination of riders time on the track, change of riders, logging and recording times to track officials and keeping our computer in working conditions. Also responsible for making sure if the bike caught on fire (or one of us for that matter), the fire extinguisher would be ready to be used.

Janet Velloso made sure riders' pit stops were as smooth as possible, providing essential visual information to riders while getting in and out of the hot pits.

The team work provided by the Speedbike ladies was essencial for the sucess of our endurance race.  Thank you Ladies !!! :-)

Experience from previous endurance races, allowed us to improve pit setup and riding coordination.  We had amazing fast pit stops for refueling and riders changing of about 20 seconds.
We proudly finished in third place in GTU - 600’s class and we had so much fun !!!!!

TEAM SPEEDBIKE
3rd Place in GTU Class
